In order to formulate your own ideas and thoughts regarding electronic learning (e-Learning), you must gather information and reflect on your own classroom or work-related experiences. As with any teaching situation, you should begin to form a philosophy or theory regarding the learning environment. This assignment requires you to: a) interview a sample of people in order to gather information regarding their perceptions and thoughts of e-Learning and b) develop your own working theory of e-Learning. The final product will be a three-part, double-spaced paper.
Part 1 – The Interviews and Summary: An Examination
Use the following set of questions (see Interview Instrument and Recording Instrument) to interview 10 people. This may be done via email, phone, or traditional pencil/paper. If you conduct the interviews via email or phone, be sure to record all responses.
Compile the responses into a table. The interviewees must remain anonymous.

The theory is your own and should be based on your experiences, your work environment, and your goals as a future online instructor.
Write your working theory making sure to include all of the components listed above. Last, reflect on the following:
How does your theory of e-Learning differ from those you interviewed? Do you feel those you interviewed hold accurate ideas regarding e-Learning? Explain briefly.
Paper Guidelines Your paper should include the following sections and headings:

Part 2 – Working Theory – Include sub-headings/sections that reflect the specific issues mentioned above. Part 3 – Analysis of Ideas and Thoughts -Please respond to the questions listed above. Support your ideas with at least two (2) outside sources in this section.
Part 4 – References – Be sure to use APA formatting. Points will be deducted for incorrect format.
IMPORTANT: The paper must be double-spaced and must include all outlined sections. Be sure to use APA formatting within the body of the paper and also in the References section. Paper word count must be no less than 2,000 and no more than 2,500 words (including the table of responses).
